At the heart of Reuel Camacho’s work is a true passion and gift for choir leadership. More than just a form of creative expression, Camacho’s approach to gospel music is rooted in a desire to praise the Lord.  

In choir rehearsal, Director Reuel Camacho focuses on the details that matter: blend, phrasing, dynamics, confidence and expression. With his feet firm in his faith, Camacho keeps true worship at the center of every performance. In rehearsal, he encourages choir members to feel the music — not just in a physical sense, but one that is spiritual and from within. 

Technique Matters — And So Does Testimony

A professional trained musician with a background in jazz, Reuel Camacho knows that technique matters. When performing for the purpose of worship, Camacho extends that commitment to technique a step further. With a goal of glorifying God, he reminds members of the choir that gospel music performance is an opportunity to worship in action. He encourages choir members to focus on their own testimony while performing — not just physical technique.

Reuel Camacho’s work extends beyond the choir loft. As a Worship Leader, he collaborates with praise teams and church leaders to shape services that feel intentional from beginning to end. He helps plan music that fits the moment, supports vocalists with practical guidance and works to ensure that worship unfolds naturally rather than mechanically.

Reuel Camacho’s music ministry is rooted in the belief that music should invite people in. It should comfort, energize and make room for reflection. Whether he is mentoring singers, preparing a choir, or helping build out a service, Reuel Camacho approaches the work with seriousness, warmth and a genuine desire to serve.
