Looking for your home away from home while pursuing your degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute? Greg Lavelle of Worcester, MA and University Life offer students affordable and comfortable housing options so you can enjoy and fully embrace life on the WPI campus!
Seeking out housing for your first year of college can be overwhelming. If you’re unfamiliar with the area your campus in, things can get pretty hectic. If you’re entering your first semester at WPI, don’t worry! The City of Worcester welcomes you with open arms — and University Life welcomes you with open doors!
Guaranteed Housing for WPI Freshmen
University Life guarantees housing options on the WPI campus for full-time first year students. However, ULife is happy to work with upperclassmen in their search for on-campus housing.
At WPI, on-campus housing is required for all full-time, first-year students. The Institute made this decision for the benefit of their students; research has proven that living on campus in the first year of college enrichs a new student’s college experience by offering opportunities to connect with other students and fully immerse themselves in the benefits of on-campus academic resources and social activities. So why not enjoy where you live while boarding on campus? University Life’s philosophy is to offer WPI students a cozy home away from home!
University Life offers WPI students 5 on-campus housing options. Each unit provides ample space and room for multiple students in a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Focused on convenience, all University Life apartments are located in close proximity to WPI buildings, as well as nearby shops and restaurants. Each ULife building is equipped with laundry facilities and provides tenants with on-site parking options.

Greg Lavelle has always been very professional and responsive. I was very happy to live at one of his buildings and would highly recommend him and University Life for off campus housing at WPI.
My room mates and I had a great experience with him. He was very responsive whenever we had an issue with the apartment and usually had it fixed with in the day or two. The apartment was well kept with new appliances. I would recommend university life to rent apartments to off campus students or other tenants.
I had some issues and time conflicts with moving into my next apartment so had to keep all of my stuff in the apartment I had rented with Greg for a few days after the lease ended. He was really flexible and understanding of the situation, which was really appreciative. Any issues that arose in the apartment over the course of the year were dealt with in a quick and efficient manner as well. I would recommend Greg for future tenants.
Greg has always accommodated my roommates and I when there were issues! He responds quickly, and his office is conveniently located below us so when we need anything he’s only a few steps away. There is laundry in the apartment which is way more important than you’d think. The building is located perfectly near necessities - grocery store, gas station with a dunkin’ donuts, and bagel time for a quick breakfast/lunch. Overall, I recommend!
