Education & Training

William Ashton Dooley

William Ashton Dooley is an extensively trained and educated Organizational Culture Expert and Physical Educator.  He maintains a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sports Management, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Sport Management and Policy and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology (Sport Pedagogy Specialization).  Dooley also maintains an active Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Certification as of August 2025. 

Academic Employment & Teaching

As a Physical Educator in higher education, William Ashton Dooley has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record, delivering undergraduate instruction across a wide range of physical activity and wellness courses, including basketball, backpacking and hiking, group fitness, body conditioning, jogging and walking (in-person and online). Dooley’s instructional approach centers on physical literacy, inclusive learning environments and applied pedagogy.

Ann E. Jewett Award

William Ashton Dooley is a recipient of the Ann E. Jewett Award, recognizing graduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, teaching excellence and a clearly articulated career plan in physical education.

Community Service & Food Security

William Ashton Dooley has completed more than 200 documented volunteer hours with Solidarity Sandy Springs, supporting food distribution, inventory management and client services for a high-impact community food pantry. Dooley’s work includes assisting with Atlanta Food Bank load-outs and coordinating donation pickups from partners such as Publix, Target and Chick-fil-A. He continues to serve regularly, contributing to daily operations that strengthen local food-security systems. He has also volunteered with the Community Assistance Center (CAC) at the South Sandy Springs food pantry, supporting client intake, pantry workflow and outreach efforts to improve access to essential resources.

Additional Community Engagement

Beyond food-security efforts, William Ashton Dooley is a Humane Society supporter, Nuci’s Space advocate, Historic Athens volunteer, Athens Educates participant, Special Olympics 5K Run Program volunteer and former Bugg Elementary School College Bound Volunteer.
