The Guild for Human Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, encouraging and empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nonprofit is based in Concord, MA and proudly serves surrounding communities.

History of The Guild for Human Services

Incorporated in 1952, The Guild for Human Services is a non-profit organization that strives to educate, encourage and empower individuals with intellectual disabilities.  Initially established as The Protestant Guild for the Blind, the organization originally maintained a focus on visually impaired individuals living in the Boston, MA community.  Through years of experience in working with individuals of all intellectual and developmental ability levels, The Protestant Guild for the Blind has evolved into what has become The Guild for Human Services.  Today, the nonprofit organization works diligently to educate, encourage and empower individuals with intellectual disabilities, through a variety of means and resources.  The Guild for Human Services proudly assists participating individuals in increasing skills to allow for the greatest degree of independence and community inclusion.

Focus Areas and Resources 

The Guild for Human Resources provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities a variety of services and resources that promote education, empowerment and encouragement.  The overall goal of The Guild for Human Services nonprofit is to ensure that individuals diagnosed with disabilities (either intellectual, development or otherwise), are able to develop independent living skills.  The nonprofit hosts events, programs and provides resources to improve the following areas of their participants’ lives:
