Silwan Chedid is known for his expertise in Oncology and Hematology. He was born and raised in Australia before moving to the United States to pursue a career in the medical field. Today, Chedid is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. His Board Certification is attributed to both medical training and experience. Chedid began his medical career by equipping himself with vast knowledge and education before opening his own clinical practice.
Education
Silwan Chedid spent years in the U.S. University system preparing himself to be the best doctor he could be. He began with an Associate’s Degree from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in Denton, Texas. Finding a home in Texas, Chedid continued his education at the University of Texas, Austin and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. After his Bachelor’s he continued on the receive a Master’s in Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Chedid moved to New Jersey to complete his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark. Though many would have stopped their education at this point, Chedid craved more. He finished up with a three year fellowship training at one of the world’s most respected cancer centers, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Professional Career
It is no surprise that following a comprehensive education like that of Silwan Chedid, that one is prepared for a successful career. Following his fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Chedid is currently running his own clinical practice in two cities, Austin and Temple Texas. On top of his work in the practice, he is also the principal investigator in three clinical trials in the Oncology Section at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System. Silwan Chedid’s impressive education, and Board Certifications have equipped him with the right tools and knowledge to become the well respected Cancer Specialist that he is today.
