When you search in Google for Dr Michael Gleiber, the third google auto-fill search you get is "Dr Michael Gleiber’s Net Worth". From my own life changing experience with Dr. Gleiber … the answer is: There is not enough money in this world to put a price on Dr. Gleiber's net worth! This man gives people their lives back; he gave me my life back! I am a mother of two young children that had lost hope on life without pain because I trusted our broken healthcare system. I saw over a dozen of the “best doctors” covered under my health insurance. These doctors told me there was nothing that could be done for me and that I should resign myself to taking pain killers and paying therapy for the rest of my life. One of my friends was fed-up with my “I am in pain/bed” excuse every weekend and stalked me until I made an appointment with Dr. Gleiber. I had an hour and a half consultation over the phone with Dr. Gleiber (free) before deciding to go for the full in office consultation. During the call Dr. Gleiber actually listened and asked me the non-traditional textbook doctor questions; questions that were very specific to my lifestyle. It was then when I decided to go for the full consultation (it is not cheap but worth every penny). Dr. Gleiber requested his own set of X-rays and MRIs before I arrived to his office. When I arrived to his office, Dr. Gleiber greeted me with a full encyclopedia of my medical history on his arms. He had studied every single page of it (about 2 inches thick worth of printouts) and asked more questions. Then he proceeded to interpret my MRI and X-Rays with such detail that I finally understood why I was in such constant pain. After the full consultation, I had made up my mind to go ahead with surgery with Dr. Glieber, I trusted him; however, my loved ones begged me to go for more opinions which I did to appease everyone. I received the same diagnosis from every spinal surgeon after a 20 min consultation, in 20 min these doctors would decide how to treat a 4 year ongoing life debilitating condition that would affect the rest of my life!
I am six months Post ACDF surgery and I will not lie, I was skeptical at times and panicked many more because my neck pain was still there. However, it was a different pain, it was a muscular pain (muscles adjusting to my new perfect spine structure) and not a nerve pain. I have regained my right hand strength (right after surgery), no more tingling sensation, and no more numbness. All along Dr. Gleiber and his team were there for me. Dr. Gleiber would personally call me or email me back within hours when I was in panic mode. I think at this point Dr. Gleiber is probably at minimum wage rate from all the hours he has spent caring for me. As of today, I am pain free, muscle cramp free and grateful to have found the amazing Dr. Michael Gleiber. Go 121-DiGITAL! (internal joke)
First in choosing a surgeon are their credentials. Dr. Gleiber's are tops. He is also considered in the top 10 spinal surgeons in FL, and the top 50 in the U.S. The first time I met Dr. Gleiber, he went over a previous MRI, x-rays, and did a physical exam. I believe I was there almost two hours. He carefully explained my condition and said surgery would eliminate my leg pain, and correct issues in my spine. I was then unable to stand without extreme pain. I used a chair on wheels to get around the house. Living alone, I had no quality of life. Yet I was still skeptical of surgery. Dr. Gleiber's explanation of what to expect after the surgery convinced me to have an operation. He suggested I could have another opinion, and didn't rush me to decide, but to go home and think about it. He had such confidence, it transferred to me. I had previously seen another doctor who recommended fusion. In my particular case, Dr. Gleiber said it wasn't necessary, and would increase recovery time.
He went over pro's and con's giving his recommendations. Within a few hours after surgery Dr. Gleiber came to my hospital room to say, "Let's go for a walk." For the first time in months, I didn't have any leg pain. With tears of joy, I called him a magician. He followed me carefully at the hospital, rehab, and home. The doctors & nurses all remarked about how dedicated he was to his patients. Due to non related physical problems, my dates for surgery had to be rescheduled many times. This had to be inconvenient for him, but to his credit he wouldn't proceed with his surgery, until all was as good as it could be. Other surgeons would have proceeded, as my other doctors felt he could. If you need to get a diagnosis for cervical or lumbar problems, go to the best, Dr. Gleiber. If he feels other means could help you rather than surgery, he will suggest them. Along with surgery, he utilizes PT, pain management, and meds. His nurse, Mia, compliments his office. She is so efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful during office exams, and making sure all questions are answered.
I believe his name for a spinal surgeon will be a household name with referring doctors and his patients for referrals. He has helped me through two surgeries. I hope I don't require further surgeries, however, he will always be a special person in my life to admire, respect his brilliance in surgery, and be grateful to for relieving my pain.
I went to 4 docs before deciding on dr Gleiber. He was caring in the office, spent an hour or more with me, his staff is fantastic. You're not a number here. After a lot of thought and talks with friends and my regular doc, they all told me he's the only one they would go to. His results, and I'm proof, are amazing, I'm back to a normal lifestyle and am pain free. When you hear from a bunch of mds that he's the one they would go to if they had spine surgery, listen to them. I am thrilled with my experience. Dr Gleiber - you're the best!
