Meaghan Wagar is an educator, mentor and fiction author. Wagar is a proud graduate of Walden University, where she received her Doctoral degree in Education.
Education & Training
Meaghan Wagar completed her undergraduate studies at Dekalb College before continuing onto Emory University (Allied Health) to earn her Pharmacy Technician Certification. Early into her career, Wagar recognized a deep-seated passion for teaching and education. With her sights set on becoming a teacher, Wagar completed her Bachelor’s degree in Education at GSU. Fine-tuning her area of expertise, she continued on to receive her Master’s in Education from Brenau University, as well as her Doctoral degree in Education from Walden University. Wagar’s Education Doctorate included the development of a dissertation on Comprehension Strategies for Instruction Readers.
Professional Experience
Meaghan Wagar is an educator, mentor and a teacher with an unwavering commitment to her students. She currently works as a Physics Teacher at Discovery High School. Wagar is backed by 25+ years of experience in teaching and education. Previous teaching commitments include:
- 6th Grade Science and 7th Grade Language Arts at Lilburn Middle School
- 4th Grade at Suwanee Elementary School
- 4th Grade and 5th Grade at Parsons Elementary School
- Science Coach K-5 at Parsons Elementary School
- 4th Grade, STEM K-5 at McKendree Elementary School
- 5th Grade, STEM K-4, 5th Grade at Mulberry Elementary School
Throughout the course of her career as an education professional, Meghan Wagar has been honored by several awards of recognition. Highlights include Teacher of the Year at Parsons Elementary School. Actively involved in the school culture, Wagar is always available to raise her hand for volunteer projects, mentoring opportunities and other enriching experiences.
