Keith Sanders Raleigh NC firefighter is passionate about his community. In addition to his work with the Western Wake Fire Department, Sanders also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
Improving the lives of the members of his community has always been paramount to Keith Sanders, a Raleigh NC based firefighter. For well over four years, Sanders served his community on the Western Wake Fire Rescue. Now, in tandem with his work in construction, he continues to help better the lives of those in need by volunteering his time and his professional skills to projects led by Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, Sanders shares life-saving safety tips on how to prepare for a fire in your home.

Academic Experience
Keith Sanders is a proud graduate of Raleigh-Broughton High School. Following graduation, Sanders continued his education with the pursuit of his Bachelor’s degree at NC State University. Both of these experiences were incredibly rewarding for this professional, who reflects on his time in high school and college as very formative experiences. Through his studies, it quickly became clear to Sanders that his passion in life was helping others. How he intended to accomplish that lifelong goal would shape his next training pursuits as he pushed forward to become a firefighter in Raleigh NC.
Fire Department Training
After college and his early professional career, Keith Sanders embarked on a journey to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. In the process of his preparation for this role, Sanders completed both Firefighter Training 1 and Firefighter Training 2. In addition to his on-the-job training, he kept his skillset sharp thanks to his own commitment to personal training. Sanders proudly served on the Western Wake Fire Rescue as a firefighter for four years total, from 1999 to 2003.

Habitat for Humanity
Keith Sanders is proud to volunteer his time and offer support to Habitat for Humanity. In his efforts with the nonprofit, Sanders draws on his professional experience in the construction industry. Overall, this experience has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling for him. He truly looks forward to participating in more projects led by this life-changing and life-saving nonprofit organization.
