J. Benjamin Quinton is a Freelance Art Teacher & Freelance Photography Instructor based in Kansas.

Anyone can be an artist.  That’s the ideal that Art Teacher J. Benjamin Quinton has embraced throughout his creative career.  To Quinton, there is art in everything.  Sometimes, all we need to do is capture the essence of that art in order to be artists ourselves; no “creation” necessary!  An outdoorsman at heart, he has always appreciated the art that exists in nature, all on its own.  Much of Quinton’s artwork consists of raw images and unedited photos and videos of nature.  In his artist’s mindset, no editing is necessary because the outdoors maintain their own elements of art — just by existing!  This perspective helps Quinton and students of his art and photography courses embrace the idea of creating without limits.  Nature does all the hard work; all we have to do is pull out a camera and capture some photos and videos to complete the art!

Benjamin Quinton believes that anyone can become a photographer.  All you need is a camera and an eye for detail!  But understanding the basic concepts of the art of photography certainly helps.  As a Freelance Photography Instructor, Quinton hosts a pressure-free environment where everyone feels free to create their own art without restrictions.  While he offers lessons on more calculated and strategic approaches to taking photos and videos, Quinton also provides his students with the chance to create completely abstract projects.  Currently, the Photography Instructor and Art Teacher is working on developing a new course that will teach the basics of how to document nature with a DSLR.  Stay tuned for updates in 2023!
