With over 25 years of hands-on experience empowering individuals and neighborhoods, Eric Nelson has emerged as a respected leader focused on building equitable communities through dialogue, advocacy and restorative practices.

Eric Nelson Colorado is a Social Justice Advocate committed to advancing equity, dignity and opportunity for underserved communities across Colorado. Grounded in lived experience and shaped by decades of grassroots service, Eric Nelson approaches advocacy through a lens of compassion, community empowerment and practical policy engagement. His work is informed by personal history — including periods of housing insecurity and systemic hardship — which fuel his ongoing commitment to dismantling barriers and uplifting the voices of those too often overlooked.
As a mentor, ordained minister and civic leader, Eric Nelson has championed causes such as criminal justice reform, housing affordability, mental health access, immigrant rights and economic opportunity for working families. His advocacy efforts extend to senior citizens, veterans, first responders, LGBTQ+ individuals and historically marginalized communities seeking greater access to essential resources and representation.
Restorative Justice Facilitator
The Conflict Center
Eric Nelson is a Restorative Justice Facilitator working with The Conflict Center in Colorado. A nonprofit organization established in Denver, CO in 1987 by Liz Loescher, Conflict Center continues to operate with a goal of providing the community with enriching lessons on how to navigate, transform and embrace conflict in a positive and peaceful manner. As a Restorative Justice Facilitator, Nelson contributes directly to The Conflict Center’s mission of equipping individuals, schools and organizations with the tools to navigate and transform conflict in nonviolent, emotionally intelligent ways. By working with individuals and families as a Mentor and Advocate, he is able to help others grapple with hardships in their lives in impactful and enriching ways that plant a seed for long-term growth and stability.
