Dr. Duane Lee Griffith became Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management in 2007. In order to become Board Certified, Dr. Duane Lee Griffith had to graduate from medical school and then gain hands-on experience through specialized fellowships and residencies.
Dr. Duane Lee Griffith completed a one-year Invasive Pain Management fellowship between 2006 and 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic. Prior to this fellowship, he also spent five years as one of the Cleveland Clinic’s Anesthesiology residents with the Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Duane Lee Griffith earned high praise during his time as a Resident, earning the coveted title of “Resident of the Year” in 2006 and being promoted to Chief Resident for the final two years of his residency. Before gaining this experience, Dr. Duane Lee Griffith earned his Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University in Texas and then enrolled in the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine in Albuquerque, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Ph.D.
Today Dr. Duane Lee Griffith works as a Pain Management Specialist with Texas Pain. This practice serves Longview, Lufkin, Sulphur, and Tyler, Texas by providing solutions for individuals seeking relief from pain. At Texas Pain Dr. Duane Lee Griffith specializes in chronic pain management and interventional spinal procedures. His interests include minimally invasive surgery, spinal cord stimulation, and intrathecal pump systems. Dr. Duane Lee Griffith provides instruction and training on the latter two interests for pain management specialists across the country, by working in conjunction with the Medtronic Fellowship Program. He has also presented on these and other pain management topics at professional medical conferences all over the United States, including the Cleveland Clinic Pain Symposium and Proctor Physicians Nationwide: Vertos MILD Procedure.
Dr. Duane Lee Griffith was also recently selected by his peers as an outstanding Texas practicing doctor, earning him a spotlight in the “Super Doctors Rising Stars” section of a 2012 issue of Texas Monthly.
