White Eyes maintains a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, as well as a Doctorate in Critical and Socio-Cultural Studies in Education. Throughout both his formal education, as well as his career in the academic field, White Eyes has been a prolific researcher of educational policy. In particular, he is an active participant in Indigenous research methodologies in postsecondary education. Chance White Eyes is a member of the Oneida Tribe and proudly engages in outreach and collaboration amongst educators and leaders of Tribal nations across the state.

On an independent basis, White Eyes also provides consultations in education, with a focus on global diversity, Indigenous and human rights issues, as well as DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) integration in academic spaces. Since 2023, Chance White Eyes has stood as a Director of Tribal Relations. In this role, he seeks to advance academic programs and enrich teaching and research opportunities by collaborating with Tribal leads and educators.
