After taking up his own home restoration projects, Andrew Cunningham-Moorat ventured into a larger interest in structural examinations. Soon enough Cunningham-Moorat became a self-taught expert in home inspections — all by practicing on his own property. It wasn’t long before he made the interest official and pursued certification in noncommercial property inspections. Cunningham-Moorat presently maintains certification to conduct residential home inspections on a freelance basis.

In 2021, Andrew Cunningham-Moorat launched a blog series centered around the home inspection industry. The series sets out to provide comprehensive coverage of everything from the basics of home inspections to updates on the certification process. Cunningham-Moorat considers his blog to be a working guide for home inspector hopefuls, homebuyers and homesellers. Every month, he shares relevant stories centered around the state of the industry.
Photographer
An outdoorsman at heart, Andrew Cunningham-Moorat has always enjoyed activities in nature. His love of the outdoors led him to a passion for nature and outdoor photography. But it wasn’t long before that singularly-themed interest evolved into something more. Cunningham-Moorat’s photography has transitioned from scenery shots to detail-oriented photos of buildings. After creating a collection of photos of castles in Scotland, he realized that he had an overall interest in architecture — on an aesthetic and visual level, at least. His photography truly hasn’t been the same ever since those castle photos. Recently, Cunningham-Moorat has even begun to build a real estate photography portfolio.
