I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS CLOWN!!! WE WERE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE! He was obnoxious, hateful, intolerable, and disrespectful. His conduct was very distasteful. He was offensive which made me defensive. He was not prepared for the visit and my mom’s medical condition and treatment was not thoroughly explained and discussed in appropriate language for her to understand being deaf. We did not receive quality services by this licensed and certified professional in any way during her health care visit.
On 10/24/2014 my mom was seen at his office. As usual, my father and I always attend all my mother’s appointments because she’s hearing impaired. As we walked to his office I explained to the doctor regarding her disability. He told me he’d ONLY address her. I reiterated that she doesn’t hear at all and that’s the purpose of me being there. I told him I’d speak into my phone and she could read what he was saying. He insisted that I but my phone away and that the session would not continue if I didn’t. Once again, and at this point I’m getting upset, I explained the hearing impaired issue. My mom was getting agitated because she could since something was wrong. He starts to write down what his findings were but she didn’t understand what he wrote. He was only writing words, not sentences that would bring clarity. Needless to say this went on for the next 20-30 minutes. She never understood the results and neither was he patient friendly at all.
Since he wasn’t addressing me, my phone rung and I told the person I’d call them back because I was at an appointment. The doctor tells me if I answer the phone again the session was over. At that’s point I’m done with his rudeness and blatant disrespect and I go off on him. He ask the nurse, Ms Myra, to sit in with him and never asked if it was okay with us….what about the patients’ rights? Everything he needed to say he’d ask the nurse to ask me (as if I wasn’t present in the room) because he chose not to speak with me. I had information that he obviously needed but due to his ignorance and arrogance, nothing got resolved and my mom left feeling uneasy and dissatisfied.
BITTERLY UPSET!!!!!
I am glad I came to see Dr. Iqbal. I know have a understanding of what going on with me.
My first time seeing Dr, Iqbal and I had a nice visit with him. He was very nice and I understood everything regarding my issue.
